Hi Tuna. I know the title suggest that the photo is about the corner but I keep getting pulled to the tree outside the window. Maybe I'm not getting it. Anyway, B&W works well for this shot.

Very funky plant. I can't help but wonder what this one would look like in color... I'm assuming the paneling is brown. How bright is the outside in color?

This pot plant has been on the pot no doubt. One blind up and the other half down id good. Perhaps a little blown out outside though.

Tuna, This strikes me as being a very strange image, and I mean that in a good way. It just has an almost unreal feel to it. Reminds me a bit of Little shop of Horrors with the man eating plant. This plant looks far to big to be in that pot, and almost has a human quality to it leaning up in the window like it is. I like the lighting and shadows as well. If I were to nit pik one thing it is that the window at left frame seems to be slanting in towrds the corner rather than straight up. just a quick perspective adjustment could fix it. Great image, I like it alot.

This lil' tree makes me sad. I know this is merely a transference of my own feelings, but I get a sence of longing from this plant. I get a feeling of isolation, and lonliness. I feel sorrow, and a deep desire to break free. I also get a sence of the frustration that we feel when barriers are placed in our way.

The tree outside the open window is a bit distracting after reading EE's post, but somehow I think you picked up on something very importand as far as your composition goes. i just don't see this image working with that curtain closed, or all the way open, yet drawn as it is half way seems somehow perfect. Damn the tree in the BG, I like this image as it is!

I didn't realize that the window/tree/light would serve as so much of a distraction. Here I have removed tree and toned down the glare. Also, Gary, I've attempted to correct the perspective problem you noted - and have fixed it somewhat.

Overall, better? Or not much different...

I love this shot Tuna, but it confuses me, as plants tend to grow or bend toward light, and I see light coming from a different direction inwhich the plant is leaning. Its almost like its say "Help! Get away light! I'm already too big for my pot!"
I do like your second shot better in that I am not seeing the outside tree.
Great job with an interesting subject.

I do not notice any difference in the perspective of the window that the plant is leaning on. It still seems to be slanted towrds the corner, but not a big issue. I did not have a problem with the tree outside, but now that it is gone I do think it looks better. . .simpler or cleaner somehow.

I like your first shot, I didn't mind the tree at all. That area in the second one is just too bright. IMO the tree was doing a good job of calming down the brightness.
