    Contrast

    Hi all,

Same curtain that appeared in the Morning Still Life series.

    Re: Contrast

    Dear Tim,

A good concept, but I think it would have worked better if your subjects were in profile, not head on. One gets the impression of people, but with just dark shapes. Profile would convey the human aspect much better I think. Keep up the good work.

    Re: Contrast

I agree, with the people facing towards the camera and being all blacked out, im frustrated by not knowing what they look like. A profile would, as said, show that they were people, and that would be the focus. Now, i feel like the face should be the focus, but i cant see it, so i dont know what to look at.

    Re: Contrast

    Thanks for the comments.

I see what you are saying and will keep it in mind for the next opportunity. This does kind of come off as a snapshot (and it is). I took two in succession: this one, and then one with a flash. They kind of go together. But, they are my sister's kids. And, I'm not sure if she'd like them on the net. So, I've only shown the backlit one.

    BR,
    Tim
