Film Shots with 28 mm lens X .45

I mounted a .45 x auxilliary lens on my Minolta film SLR over the Minolta 28 mm lens (resulting in a 12.6 mm equivalent fisheye). Exposure is a problem. Everything was overexposed and I couldn't do much with the extremes of light and shadow in that big field. The image itself is just so so.

Don .. how do those auxiliary lenses perform? I've seen them advertised. Any comments on their sharpness etc?

    Cheers

I think if you are going to use a setup like that you need to go for the really wild images. These compositions are just too tame to overcome the system flaws of the lens plus the adapter.
    No, I DON'T need that.
