Commitment
Ski shot from yesterday. It was good. Pretty deep and no crowds :D  :p Suggestions?

Re: Commitment
Bump the exposure or the contrast as the snow looks grey instead of white.
Great image otherwise.

Re: Commitment
Great looking shot. Nice action and composition. Yes, bumping up the exposure, or just doing a levels adjustment will get the snow looking whiter and may also bring out some of the green I think is there in the trees. This image should look really well with an adjustment.

Re: Commitment
Thanks guys, hows this look? I think I might have bumped the ev a little bit when I took it. Tried to get the snow whiter without blowing it out and bring out the trees some more. Struggled with bringing the greens in the trees out without making my buddy too dark. Tried black and white too but I think color is better?

Re: Commitment
The B&W has a nice timeless look but the color image is the one I like.

Re: Commitment
I like the fixed color version. And oh yeah -- that looks like fun!

Re: Commitment
I, too, like the color best though it seems to have a bit of a lavender cast in the snow and clouds.
I'd crop about 1/3 off bottom and from left up to the second tree.

Re: Commitment
I agree that the color picture is better. I disagree in the cropping. I like it the way it is. Showing those big trees places the viewer there with the skier.

Re: Commitment
Thanks everyone. I can barely see a little lavendar, maybe a difference in monitors? I tried the crop but then the skier is too central and you lost some perspective I thought.

I was going to say that cropping from the bottom would decrease the dramatics of the drop. I agree that the fixed color one looks the best. The b+w version still seems too dark.
