    Great composition, looks like you placed the sun behind the statue which is good thinking, The sky works well but your subject lacks detail a filter or exposing more for the statue might have worked better.

    when I exposed for the statue the sky dimmed too much. I had to rely on "dodging."

    The statue is a little too dark but overall, I like the effect. In a case like this, a certain amount of fill flash would have been usefull but you probably cannot rely on the built-in flash of your camera as it might not be powerfull enough.

    That aside, I really like this picture, there is an enigmatic feel in the pose of that "character" and the underexposed sky add to this.
