    Re: Back from Hawaii!!

It's hard to miss at Hawaii. I'm sure the weather is a lot better than Illinois too

I like your shots but most of them seem over-saturated. I would tone down the color a bit in your favorite post-processing software (Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, etc). My favorites are the 2nd, 5th, and 7th ones from the top. The 3rd one is also quite good, but the color really needs to be toned down a bit imo.

Btw, hate to nag but these shots are probably more appropriate for the ViewFinder section, unless you want specific advice on how to make them better. if so, it's easier to critique individual shots instead of multiples.

    Welcome to the boards btw

    Re: Back from Hawaii!!

First thing that I noticed is those overblown highlights...snow covered mountain tops, the water of the waterfall. Then it's the lacking of details in the shadow areas of some of your shots. The last photo seems underexposed. The scenery in your second photo seems to lack some attractive element...may be it would look more interesting if shot differently.

If you use photoshop and the like, some of the above could be fixed.

    Re: Back from Hawaii!!

Welcome back. Your last shot is the best of the bunch, just need to bring out some detail in the shadow areas. Seems a bit under exposed as AE stated.
GB makes a good point, all of these would be fine in the Viewfinder forum but for critique it is best to post one image per thread so that we can take the time to analyze and offer constructive feedback.
please do not edit and repost my photos
