    Cityscape

Not sure why but this seemed a little cartoonish after sizing for web

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I like the color palette and the overall scene. Good control of highlights int he sky. I think the image is a little over - sharpened ...I am not sure, but check your .jpg export settings ...it may be sharpening it as it is sizing it down ...

Thanks llewpics, sizing does seem to alter it a bit and not always for the best.

Agree with the other comments, that is way too sharp. Almost hurts to look at the details..

    Re: Cityscape

It does seem cartoonish or at least unreal, Pete. That in itself isn't bad, but I think the buildings being all the same height and the lack of contrast between sky and foreground make it come across flat. There is a lot of detail in this photograph, so one would want it to be sharp. But there's not much substitute for a sharp original sometimes, as there's limitations as to how far you can sharpen in PP.

Does this one seem to tilt clockwise btw? Also, is it London? At first I thought Paris because all the buildings are the same height (Paris apparently had a height restriction, so all the builders built to the max), but then I saw the British flag.

Thanks Sid and Greg This is Edinburgh Scotland take atop its " Gothic Rocket " Its a fascinating city with lots of history but colour doesn't seem to be one of its strong points. This is one of the things I was trying to show.

I like your more natural looking shots. But that could be just my personal taste. Other than that I like it.
