I think it has potential, the B&W dosen't seem to fit the image (atleast not with the filter on the camera - not enough details) and why did you post it slanted? do you have the picture in color or did you shoot it B&W?

I shot it in color and thought it would be cool to change to B&W to show she contrast between the feathers. The lighting was poor and the bird moved alot here is the original. I cropped in an angle because it supposed to show the black background but didnt work. still playing with CS3.
