    Payn,

Beautiful. Have you posted one exposure of this before? I remember the backlit cross from a while back. I love this shot though, the moon is wonderful and the graduant blue is a beautiful addition.

    Well done!

Yeah, one of the exposures are older. The Church was done with my Kodak, and the moon was with the 5D, just wanted to try something and see what others thought. Thanks for your imput, I am happy with the results. Blending shots/exposures is a new area of interest, and I have been slowly working on it for about 4 months now.

I would make two changes. Using photoshop, I would take out the top of the tree which is a distraction to the eye and continue the same dark blue sky colour down to the bottom using the clone tool or healing brush. I would also take out the steeple which would make it a "cleaner" image in terms of shapes and impact. Also using the same Photoshop technique.

Looks good, Payn. I like the addition of the moon in this shot, which i remember commenting on in the past when you first posted it ( without the moon then) I like that you straightened the Church, as well. I think i had commented about the removal of the trees originally, but with the moon up there it does not seem to bother me as it did before. i like the sky getting lighter at the bottom, it somehow makes the moon feel right in the scene. I personally think this is fine as it stands

    Looks good, Payn.

The minimal highlights within your silhouetted image work well and your vision to place the moon balances the composition well.

Thanks to you all for your comments. This is in a "final" of sorts of the images that will be entered into PSA second cycle. Just wanted to get some thoughts, and make final adjustments before the judges rip it apart . You have all been a great help.

    Hi payn,
The tilted cross seems talking to the moon. Very poetic.
