Re: The Christmas wish...
I would say this is pretty cool, Jet. Its quirky, sexy and humorous and festive. . . I would say the only thing that comes to mind for critique would be that somehow I'd like to see a bit more of her face and I'm not quite feelin his expression on this scenario, but those are really nit piks.
I think its a fine shot, and love the rim light on the left.
Good work
Re: The Christmas wish...
i agree a little bit more of her face would've been nice. i like the pose here. the lighting is good also, very bright and festive. one thing that draws my eyes is that white thing on the bottom left.. what is that? i wish it wasn't there, it breaks up the nice red border around the images and draw away from the whites in the santa hats.
Re: The Christmas wish...
Bottom left is either a white present sack or a cat bed.
Whatever, it's too bright.
I like the rim light, but couldn't you have gelled it so it wasn't that harsh white?

Paul, Gary, Libon, and anyone else that's interested...
I posted the setup, and why it is the way it is in the studio lighting forum here: http://forums.photographyreview.com/...932#post449932
Tried to warm up the kicker with a CTO (color temperature orange) gel but it made no appreciable difference. The white thing lower left is a "fake snow" blanket covering the base of the tree. The idea behind the facial expressions was that she had just whispered the most outrageous Christmas wish in his ear and he was shocked (use your imagination LOL)
