    Chasing Waterfalls

I have been in search of waterfalls lately to try to get this effect (silky smooth water). Unfortunately I couldn't decide on the best composition for the shot(trying not to center the falls) and the lighting was a little to harsh I believe. Let me know what you think.

    Re: Chasing Waterfalls

When I saw the first one I thought to myself that I would like to see the waterfall a bit higher and was glad to see it in the second picture.

I agree that it's a bit harsh but I like the bend in the river.
How about cropping out the dead brush on the left side?

    Don't go chasing waterfalls
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to.

Seriously though, I have a book all about Wisconsin waterfalls. Here's a link, in case you'd like to know: http://www.wisconline.com/attractions/waterfalls.html

A ND filter is a must if you want to do full daylight shooting and get this effect.
Good Luck chasing waterfalls! Don't forget your barrel!

I was actually going to title it that but held myself back. A few weeks ago I went up to gooseberry falls in Two harbors but the shots were pretty blown because there was quite a bit of snow and ice up there and I didn't meter correctly for it.
