    The Road Ahead... Flagstaff, AZ

Sorry for posting so often. lol. But its really nice to be able to show my photos to someone and get opinions. First for me...

I took this with my old Olympus, which was only 2.5mp.. So the sharpness and clarity isn't that great... But I loved how everything came together.. This was taken outside of Flagstaff on one of our annual roadtrips through the state.. I cropped it down 2 ways.. Which one do you think looks better? I like them both, can't decide.. Also had a hard time getting rid of the yellow saturation.. Everything in AZ has a yellow or red tint. lol.

    Hi,

I prefer the cropped (second) version. Having the asphalt covering the entire width of the frame in the foreground as it is the case in the original doesn't feel right to me.
You have a great sky here. The clouds truly are eye catching. The first tree on the right seems to be oddly lighten, almost if a flash lightened it (but then, the built in flash of your small Olympus couldn't have done that under sunlight in daytime). Have you dodged that tree???

Actually thats one neat thing about this pic. No I did very little to it.. The lighting is totally natural. The clouds were creating huge spots of dark and light across the landscape. I was standing in one of the light spots, while I could visibly see the darkness coming around me as a circle of clouds moved over me.. The darkness was just reaching the small stand of trees, behind the main tree to the right.. However, here's an even better pic with a better sky(IMO anyway).. This was taken while driving along the Utah side of the AZ border, through a large national park. Patch of light was hitting the face of the cliff, making it a little too bright. Ah well.
