In-car shots - Need some advice!
    Hi guys,

My first post here, and I look forward to many more.

I just purchased a DSLR (Canon D80) and I wanted to get some opinions on shooting from inside my car.

I'm trying to get a photo of the leather shift gear in my car.

This is the photo from my basic Canon Elf:

It looks like crap, trust me, I know!

I want it to look more like this:

    What do you guys suggest?

    Thanks in advance

Looks like you had some camera shake going on. If you can, use a tripod set up on the floor, and maybe increase your exposure a little. I'd also suggest using whatever ambient light is available. I don't think a flash would help in this situation. JMHO.

    I agree with John.
    I also wasn't aware that Canon made a D80.

haha i saw that too. the first shot is blurred. either pull into a spot with more direct light, or use a tripod. nice try
