Canoes and canoeing
Last weekend I took a field trip with a class and ended up with a small collection of ones that I deemed good enough. These are just two that deal with the same subject. Both were cropped from larger images, since I was shooting with my 10-20mm lens and didn't have the time to change lenses. The first, also, I made the decision for and took the photo so quickly that I accidentally had the wrong settings on, and the photo was brighter than it should have been; in the end, though, I didn't edit it too much. Any thoughts on these photos? (the one thing annoying me in the first is that pole sticking up in the foreground, but otherwise I like the photo, and it isn't all the big of a distraction, to me at least)

Re: Canoes and canoeing
I like the first one best. Like you said, if the pole were gone, it would be better -- and while we are taking out the pole, I would take out that house back there, too. Love it when you don't follow the rules -- and it works!

Really like the first one too, looks peacful. The second one is a great capture of the person in the boat. I would like to take the second one and play with it....

Go for it and post what you come up with, if anything. :)
