Very nice! I love the mute colors, but I wish the house were straight, although it might add to the mood...

Welcome to the SE. I think you will enjoy it here. I think you should have shoot slightly more to the front and included just a little more of that rusted roof. It does appear to be tilted left though.

Very nice composition, although I think opening it up some would work even better. I like the lop sided tilt here. It adds to the charm. The two stronf vertical trees in the right balance this well. The shadow play all around plays a nice role in bringing that etra somthing to engage in.

I don't think the shed needs straightening as it appears to be as it is. If you straightened it, the trees would be too crooked.
Nice catch and hope you do as much justice to Tennessee in your photos as you did to Vermont.

I agree with the tilt being spot on. Add's to the drama of the picture. The trees show the perspective and make a easy reference to vertical. Love the feeling that it could fall down at any moment. B and W?

I really like that one. Not sure if I like the brown boarder? Really nice. I think it would be interesting to see it in B&W as well.

I like the whole thing. The tilt of the shack works for me, as do the colors and the neat lines and textures created by the trees.

    Great sharpness, too.

I usually look past the borders and the such for photographs on here and I think that you did a very good job of capturing what I feel like you were looking for abandonment of this building. I like how the shadows seem like they are moving into the front of the building.

I like this just as is, the color of the tree's and weeds against the house work. Nice shot, where in TN are you? I want to move there someday!

    Re: Abandoned"

Thank You all for the comments on this, much appreciated... this is the way the shack appears, the only thing keeping it from falling is the trees lol...

lori.. I just moved here from Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, been here about two months.. located in Greeneville, beautiful place Tn, and much friendlier climate...
