    A Little Birdie in a Tree ...

I caught this little guy before he noticed me and flew off....I have some others but I really like the comp of this photo. The angle on the bird feeder bothers me a bit, but when I try to fix it, I lose a piece of the bird's tail, so I just left it.

    Welcome your thoughts....

The overall composition is nice, but, being that the bird is the differentiating color, it makes it the subject whether you want that or not.

That being said, the subject is a bit out of focus. I like the crop, and the birdfeeder tilt works.

Great colors. Really sets off the Blue Jay. See if you can get closer or zoom in more on just the bird and make sure he is in focus above all else.

"Squirrel Proof Feeder", right? Here is one I had like that. The squirrel just sat on the roof to lower it. That left a couple of inches of Plexiglas above the roof unprotected.

The bird is such a small part of the composition and yet because of the color contrast it stands out.
    I'd call this well done!

thanks for the comments....yes, it is a squirrel proof feeder, which I thought was pretty clever, but those buggers will find a way in no matter what.

the bird really did it for me against the orange leaves, although I do wish I had focussed better. Those suckers are really fast though!

The blue against the orangish background is a wonderful contrast that overcomes the size of the bird in this shot. I also enjoyed how you focused this shot.
