    Candid Profile
Since I never pose any of my shots, these are hard to get. This one worked out just right (I think) at a family dinner.

    Thoughts?

hmm. maybe a bit...oversharpened? theres some weird contrast/haloing between his fingers. the lighting makes it look like he's drenched in oil or something similar, which just makes it seem off to me.

Comes across as way too dark on my monitor.

Shot is interesting but lack of detail is distracting.

I think it's way over sharpened. Other than that it's not a bad photo.

I agree with what everyone says except that I think it works.

If I could change a thing it would be to crop away everything behind his ear and add that much space in front of him.

I agree with MB1. I think the photo works well but, could use a slight change in crop. Not sure if I would add anymore in front of him but, I would definitely crop out behind the ear.

Thank you all for the tips. I may be on a uphill battle with my B&W shots, since for some reason, contrasty and over-sharpened are the look I go for and like :) I will try the crop. (plus, I tried to work on the finger halo)

It's intense, but I wonder if it's overly so? The contrast pops you in the mouth I mean. I'm not sure if I would have done anything different though.
