    Canadian Geese

Took this picture of these two Canadian geese walking toward me thinking I have food....little did they know, it was only my camera!

Any feedback on how I can improve the picture would be appreciated.

    Re: Canadian Geese

welcome to the forums iyuphoto , this is a very interesting shot but unfortunately the goose in the foreground is just a little soft, the eye is not tack sharp. As the goose is checking you out the eye is an important part of this image. I think you let it get a bit to close for the camera to cope. It may be possible to improve this somewhat with some PP work. Looking forward to seeing some more of your shots.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Thanks hminx for your comments. Good eye (no pun intended!) on picking out the lack of focus on the goose's eye. It was moving quickly toward me and I just kept snapping away. I guess automatic focus isn't always the most reliable/appropriate.

    Re: Canadian Geese

I like the flow from the rear goose to the main goose. I like the edge darkening but it is a little strong for my tastes. The B&W conversion seems a little flat on my monitor.

Yeah, the focus being off the eye is problematic

BTW, it is "Canada" geese and not "Canadian"
