    California Fuschia

Gosh, it's been a while since I posted a picture in this forum. So, I went rummaging through some shots from last year and came across this macro of a California Fuschia bud, a very common but pretty flower here in the coastal canyons of southern California. This was shot in Solstice Canyon, near Malibu. I can't wait for spring because the canyons are going to be chock full of blooming wildflowers because of all the rain we got this year.

Please give me your comments/critiques for this photo.

Hey Shrackman, good to see your around.
I like your dof here alot and it makes the image for me. Composition and frame ing good. . .for me though, this subject itself does not seem to be powerful or interesting enough to hold my attention for long. The lighting and all the technicals appear right, and a good shot it is.
please do not edit and repost my photos

I have to agree with Gary here. Great composition and lighting and everything, yet the subject just isn't too strong for me here.

Thanks guys. Next time I'll just have to shoot the flower when it is bloom! Should be more interesting then.
