    Bubbles Poll

I wonder which one of these patterns shots you like. Any suggestions?

I really like the orange one Chunk! Is it a vase or a candle chimney? Whatever it is I think you have got some arresting images that make one stop and look twice! Nice shots.

While I like your idea here alot, and both of these are very good, the image that really holds my attention most is the monochromatic looking one. i think it is mostly because of the perspective/angle from which you composed it from. It gives it more depth and dimension, and also gives a sort of crystal-like sparkle. Now , here is the tricky part. I can see the orange image being framed and hanging large in a vibrant lively room, more so than the other, but the other seems to hold my interest longer. Any how, I voted for the monochrome (white) one. Great subjects, as usual.

Thanks C.L. These are both vases that I was scrubbing when I noticed how the bubbles heightend the pattern. Anything to take a break from dishwashing.

Thanks Gary. I think I like that one because the glass knobs at first glance seem to be bizaar bubbles themselves.

    Chunk,

I picked the orange one. The white one seems to be too much selective focusing, while the orange remains a constant, focused, pattern.

    Nice shot,

They're both nice but that deep orange gets me! It looks delicious almost. So yeah orange all the way!

Clicked on white, meant to do orange. Nice. Can we see it closer?

Do like the orange, but had to vote for the white. I like the selective focusing that is there and the fact that the bumps(?) do give the appearance of soap bubbles.

    Nice shots, Chunk

    Re: Bubbles Poll

Hi Chunk, I chose the white because, like some of the others, the bubbles tricked me into seeing something that wasn't true, but which fascinated me, however, I would have preferred to have chosen "both" in the poll, because both have their fascinations for me. Great ideas and a nifty way to take your mind off of the dishes...haha...

I really, really, really had to think on this one because, like Ken, both pulled at me. But ultimately, I went with the white one. For the same reason everyone else did. But that Orange is not to be discounted either. Great shots!

I like the orange, but it's flat compared the the white. my eye wanders on the orange, but the white image seems to have more depth and it leads my eye from left to right.

Thanks to all who participated in the poll and especially you folks who took the time to explain your choices. I think I'll print them both on metallic paper to see how they look enlarged.
