    Bryce NP in the Snow

Taken a couple weeks ago. Comments? I added a bit of an effect.

Beautiful and moody, though I have some small concern about the clipping (upper right @ sun)

    I think it's stunning and wouldn't change a thing.

The clipping of the sun is a little harsh, and I might want to warm up the white balance of the landscape a little bit. Otherwise, very nice scene and pleasing composition.

Only critical thing I can think to say is the bright spot of the sky may be a tad blown out...

    Just a gorgeous shot.

Re: Bryce NP in the Snow

    Thks for commenting.

Yep, I'm also a bit concerned about that burn out in the sun area, though I agree it's not so bad to be fatal to the image. It's also very blue - not sure why, but I guess because it was so overcast (seems to occur with snow a lot).

Here's the original without any effect. Not a whole lot of difference, but some: I like the effect's sky better.

One thing that concerns me that nobody mentioned - the bottom left area seems soft/blurry, even motion blurred. I wonder if this is one of those bad optics issues that bench reviewers find sometimes, where the corners of the image aren't as sharp as the center? Arrgg.

    Here's the non effect one:

If you can't fix the sky in the upper right crop it almost all the way down to the horizon.

Greg, could do that, but I think that the sky is important to the shot. You can see by doing a quite crop on your own: seems too plain w/o the sky.

I can certainly see what drew you to the shot, but I'd like to see it without the blown out sky. It's probably just me, but I find that my eye is just drawn to that spot and I miss the rest of the great landscape.
