    Bounced flash

Playing with the macro in the house

    This is a faucet detail

And ... I won't show this to my wife as she may want to clean it up now ...

    Thanks for your comments!

This is cool, but it has a weird perspective. The rear tap for some reason looks larger than the front tap, could be the oof drop of water on the knob making it seem a bit bigger than it really is

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Re: Bounced flash

There is a grainyness to this photo that I really like. It gives it that perfect worn look without looking dirty or noisy. The brass top and bottom are sharp enough to remind me what I'm looking at, and then the rest of the shot takes my eyes in a totally different direction.

I really like the lighting, I think the bounce is just right for the DOF and the reflections.

The reflections give a backwards view into the rest of the room and at you that have a fisheye effect that I think adds to the theme of the photo.

If anything I might crop a little off the top because I see what hminx is saying about the upper tap.

For such a simple object, there is a lot going on but I think it all works together and I like it. Nice work.

I like this quite a bit. I would crop some the top, maybe a third or so. And I agree about the front nob, its just a little too prominent.

hmnix, the bigger ball is indeed bigger, it seats in the middle between the hot and cold , maybe I should try increasing DOF a bit so it can be disguised better

Maplestreet, thanks for such a thorough analysis , I also thought of cropping a bit from the top

    Arne, thanks for the comment

Liban, thanks for the comment. "Sleekness" LOL

I agree that there is a little too much photo on the top, though I love the bokeh effect on the upper knob
