I think yoiu should tweak the WB on the second one. It has that sodium lighting yellow tint.

Needs a little faster SS I think Cindy. The top one has a nice placement of the lead gal but you really need to crop in, and you cannot do that due to lack of sharpness.

Indoor shots like this are tough. The lighting looks very similar to the indoor volleyball games I shoot at a local university. With my new(er) D700 I can pump up the ISO a lot higher than my older D200 though, giving me a fighting chance.

I like #1. You captured the lead skater in stride her arms and legs are action blurred but her torso and head are sharper. I think that the image here is the lead and her pursuers.
I would crop all of the folks that seem to be standing around.
    Nice.

Love the 2nd shot, Cindy. The grouping and intensity on their faces is powerful and i like that you framed it tightly so we can see that but also kept some space above to include the signs/banners and breathing room. I agree that the WB needs to be tweaked a bit.

The 1st shot does not have any impact for me. I think the moment here was not the best. I'm not feeling the subjects connection to any of the others in the bg...it just seems very isolated in many ways.
i also agree the sharpness could be a notch better, but i know these low light high speed action shots are challemging and come down to the equipment quite often

    Nice work
