    London City Hall

    Hi all

This morning I went to London City Hall, which is an ultra modern building partly open to the public. Here is a slightly strange image (to me) I took - what do you think?

    I call it 'Long Distance'.

    Cheers

Very strange but interesting, what stood out to me at first was the differences in lighting. Next was the contrast in depth from the right side to the left side. I like the blue light at the end of the hall though, kinda draws my eye back there and the woman stands out with her pink shirt.

Interesting and I agree with cameraspeak.
I do wish you had taken a step or two to the left which would have given the figure at the desk a bit more room to her front and brought in the entire curve of lights on the ceiling.

I agree with Frog's assessment of the point of view. Is this the building on the Thames with the aquarium in the basement?

Thanks guys ... good point about the lights (which I hadn't noticed). I could not really include more of her to the right as she had a guy with her, and the mood I was after was based on the idea that she was alone. However, I will certainly go back there - I liked the angle.

In the meantime, I have tidied up the lights ... I will also put a few more images from today up on Viewfinder.

jetrim .. not quite. The building you refer to is the old city hall, which was closed and converted into two hotels, the aquarium, various restaurants, a Dali museum, etc. It stands almost opposite the parliament buildings. The new one, opened in 2002, is immediately across the Thames from the Tower of London.

    Cheers

I like the edit much better. Coincidentally, last time I was in London was summer of 2002.
