    Hmmmmm........

This is a nice shot for the family album, uncluttered background with nice uniformed color. But not very flattering of the cute looking kitty. The angle of the head minimizes the ears too much. Imagine taking a picture of a person at this height, whereas if you got down lower to the cats height or just above the eyes it might have more impact.

Definatly a keeper for the family scrapbook.

Not sure about your comment on the ears, Norman.
With the angle the cat is looking up at, it's close to head on.
It might not be entirely happy, our cat does this with her ears if I try to force her to pose
While this looks like a moggy, it may have the folded ears of a Scottish Fold http://www.fanciers.com/breed-faqs/s...-fold-faq.html

I suppose there are two ways to critique, be gracious & encouraging, or be brutally frank. I guess I was stradeling two camps. Also I like to support this forum & have noticed a lot of post's going un answered, which bothers me. ;)

    I'm totally owned by a cat ;)
In this photo I like the focus on the eyes, just like portraits of people I think if the cat's eyes aren't sharp & crisp you lose the impact.

I like it. The only things I'd change are to crop out the top 50 pixels or so (too much empty space, plus that bright spot is distracting), and I'd try to get the cat's feet into the shot at the very bottom of the frame next time. Still not bad though.

It seems as though PJ has gotten to all the critiques before me... *smile* I agree with him again... I like this picture, but cropping out that bright spot imo would be better, as it would be less distracting. I, however, don't think you need to include the cat's feet, I think it's fine without them. I love seeing your animal pics by the way, you have quite a talent for capturing their personalities.
