Very good, drg. great framing and execution of this image. The one thing that seems to attract my attention (as far as critique is concerned) is the top of the dome structure sneaking into the frame, but I do not think it is necessary to crop it off. Good work

    Thanks Gary!

I'm glad to know your thoughts about the top of the dome. The proportion was ruined when removing anymore of the top via cropping, I've even considered doing some creative cloning but went with this version thus far.

I am glad you haven't done that.
    This is an interesting photograph.
I like the unusalvisual balance that is created with the birds and the dome.
    The framing is great too.

Re: The birds, they go . . .

drg, I always have found that I can better get a feel for a composition and framing by either standing far back from a picture or looking at a smaller image such as a thumb nail. When I view this small image that is up on the main page I feel that it looks perfect with the crown on the dome just evident in the frame. Congrats on the sticky as well.

    Gary,

I agree with you about the need for perspective and point of view when finding the best presentation for a piece of work. It always good to stand back both figuratively and literally when reviewing our own work.

    Thanks again!

I love it drg. Both the dome and the birds are in great positions. Well captured.
