    before and after with photoshop

I found a tutorial on how to remove grain with a grain removal tool in photoshop. First you open the pic, then select channels RGG, red, blue and green will pop up. select the first color red, this will turn to B&W, (dont worry) zoom in pic to see the grain . Okay open filter, then select Blur, then select surface blur, make sure you also select preview. when you open the surface blur you can see it remove the grain instantly, but you can also adjust more if you would like. then hit okay, ( then do the same with the next colors. if you click preview off and on you can see how much it changed. is an example of using this method. I just found this and just wanted to tell you guys some trick i have found to help everyone out who didnt know how to.

Re: before and after with photoshop

Thanks for the tip. This is not grain that we see in the first shot but rather whats called "Banding" This happens when there is not enough color information in the image file to bring about smooth tonal gradations. This will happen especially if you are shooting jpegs and/or editing your photos in 8 bit rather than 16 bit files.
You can also try the PS noise reduction filter which works ok as well.
