IMHO, the composition of both photos #1 and #2 do not provide much of a story. nothing there to spark my interest. sorry.
however, for #2 you could photograph actual fire and put it into the background of #2 with photoshop. this may create a composition with more interest. maybe with photoshop, add some burnt 'fur' on the head of the bear. gets a whole 'evil bear' theme going. this would be more digital art than a photograph but just throwning-out ideas.
