Hi there .. the seaside is always a happy hunting ground for images - now and then I pop down to Brighton just to take some photographs. Where are these, just from curiosity?

Of these images, I prefer 1 and 3. No 1 has a nice feeling of winter dereliction about it, especially with the flags waving about. In images like these, it pays to get in close for details too - I was imagining almost abstracts from the boat's number, the fuel drums, etc.

No 3 is fine too - a classic sort of composition with the shingle leading the eye around. It could use a very slight rotation to the right though. I would also be inclined to crop a little off the right in order to bring the groyne and the church tower more into the "thirds".

    Hope that helps

Hi! Thanks for replying! I changed the order accidentally when I made the image quality better! Which ones did you prefer! Oh, its Aldeburgh Suffolk (east anglia)

number 1 i think has a little too much bottom foreground, a slight straighten counterclockwise, and maybe adjust levels slightly to eliminate the haze look. On number 4 straighten clockwise and some levels adjustment also. Nice pics.

A nice set of shots. You've got some dust on your sensor, I think. I'm not sure, but I think the focal point on that fish needs to be on the eye. Hard to tell--I could be wrong.
