    In honor of 9/11

I thought I would post this in honor of 9/11.

This unfortunatly brings to mind the jumpers, one of many bad memories of the day.
    No, I DON'T need that.

My nitpick is with the dust spots above the flag. O/W, nicely framed.

I did not post this to offend anyone. I posted it because of the flag.

As for the dust spot...I took this shot at Bristol at a race. Dust doesn't surprise me...but they do not show up on my screen.

Jennifer......I don't think anyone's offended. To MB it strikes a chord that many people want to forget. Just a bad memory, but not offensive in any way.

    Jennifer-
I think this is a pretty nice photo. I can see, in the context of the thread title, someone might be reminded of the jumpers. It's sort of an ugly irony. In any case, just in case you didn't realize it, this forum is one of the only ones were kind of uptight about. If you post here it should really be because you want a serious critique. From your title and description it seems you just wanted to share it. And that's fine. But the appropriate forum for that would be ViewFinder. I think this photo might be a good one for the sports forum, too.

And the flipside is that everyone who posts a comment should offer some real and constructive criticism. So MB1, who I know has a wonderful critical eye, should say a little more. Everyone who posts should offer suggestions on how to improve the image. Otherwise this forum just becomes a mutual congratulations club.

Thanks for listening to this public sevice announcement :-)

Ocassionally I jump into this forum and remind people what it's all about and how it works. Thanks for reading and being a good sport.

You should zoom in to 1:1 to look for dust spots. Unfortunately, sky shots bring out the all the dust you have to offer.
