I'm aware of the seams, I blame lack of time in initial shooting, it was dark so i shot 1/2 second exposures.

Just for fun, a Video with an effect applied, 8 second WMV, view it full screen

Your thoughts, other than seams, which could have been avoided if I had more time, what can I do to improve shots like this?

Hmm... well I think the tonality is too compressed here. Nothing really jumps out at me as a result. The seams aren't too bad. These type shots are also better being large, but of course the site limits one to 640 px wide/tall (I wish they'd change that!). Also, I would rotate it 90 degrees CCW so that the barrels are at the top of the circle.

you're right about the rotation, it does help.

As with this thread you can usually click my picture posts for a larger view. I always link from either the gallery, my personal site, or flickr, because the forum compression just compresses too much. You'll be able to see the seams when you see the large versions.

Here it is rotated. REMEMBER to click the picture, the in-thread version is just a thumbnail.

Ohh, I see! Click, bam, it's full size!

    The rotation did wonders.
