This is a shot I took during a visit down to Kent, England, near Dover. Its quite dangerous to be up there, since the cliffs are chalk and constantly crumbling, but the risk was worth it, wasn't it?

Hey! No picture is worth your neck! ... well not quite anyway

This pic SCREAMS for a bit of polarizing action! Since you shoot SLR, you should investigate landscape filters. A polarizer would typically reduces the vegetation glare, the atmospheric haze, and pump up the blues in the sky.... During days which are plagued with haze, this could be a real life saver.

Now, this is a subject worthy of attention for sure. Your DOF was quite good since everything is sharp.

I agree with Steph, its a bit hazy, and also wanted to add that my eye is just searching for a "subject" I know, I know, the land was supposed to be the subject, but it just didn't grab me and keep my attention!

I don't like to admit it too much, but I managed to get away with this photo using a shooter and pointer, infact, a Fujifilm A210. But, no doubt if I had my SLR there, I would of used a very stopped down aperture a slow shutter, tripod also perhaps, but filters.... hmmm, still got some stuff to explore.

I'm not sure I like using filters to cut out the haze because to me haze is beautiful. It's atmospheric and I guess something I rarely get to see in florida. I would like to have seen what was on that little hill. I'm sure this was a spectacular scene but it's hard to get that grandeur in a 4x6.
