    Statue of Liberty edited C&C

    I posted the original yesterday and edited according to the comments. Let me know your thoughts. Original on top.

    I like the edit better but think that the sun would be overwhelming in large print. Blown out and lack of detail creating to much negative space.
    I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..

    Thanks for the reply and good point. Any ideas on fixing/ preventing this in the first place? Keep in mind the was taken while on the ferry so POV is what it is.

    Short of a photoshop sky replacement I don't know. I always have better luck catching the sun just at the horizon before it gets that blown out. I like the idea and where the sun is, just not so intense.

    I like the idea behind the image, but the edit looks too false to me. I do like the original but would go for a harder silhouette.

    On the edited version I would loose some of the recovered detail just to give it the added mystery.

    How about an ND grad next time to get a bit more detail in the sky.
