This is a classic example of why comments are so great. Here I was thinking the background was really good; compliments the leaf, exposier, DOF was pretty good-but you aren't crazy about it. I love to get input, helps expand the thinking.

CF I would have to agree with you about the top half of the background but the bottom leaf spoils it for me - its a shame its there.
Other than that nice pic.

I looked again this a.m. and I guess the only part of the background I'm not keen on is the top right where its so much brighter. The leaf holds attention well enough that its just a nit pick. I'd be proud of it.
