I'm scared to ask what it is!
Nevertheless, the lighting and contrast is good. But with that said, because the subject is not clearly defined it would tend to make me overlook this image.

Hmmm,
This looks like the crack of dawn( or Mary, Susan, Jane. . . . . . Bob??!! AAHHH) :)
As another stated, the lighting and contrast is very good. But I think I would want to see a bit more of it . . . like the whole heart shaped silhouette from the waist up. I still like it but there is not enough to it to keep me looking for too long.

As an abstract....
I like the simplicity, the contrast, and the sensuality of the curves. Could be a human body part or a peach [though I think it's human.] I think it works as an abstract - with bastraction, you're not necessarily supposed to know what it is or show the whole subject matter.
All IMHO, of course! :)

Exactly!
I think it works. The lines are simple, the gradient from the top down adds interest, and it keeps you wondering just what the hell it is.
Abstracts are tough, but this one works for me.

No Rules
With abstracts there are no rules. You either like it or you don't. This one I like. Contrast and texture alone make this a keeper. I don't think that it would hold up as framed art in an office somewhere, but it is a nice little conversation piece.

I'm torn...
I am really glad to FINALLY see some of your stuff Scott.
It has some good things going for it, the composition is good, there is some balance in the frame, between the main subject and background. There is also some contrast again, between the blackness of the background and the lightnes of the main subject.
I am just not sure it is that strong of an image.
