Kate, let me just say this shot is precious! That is such a cute stage anyway, when they are holding on to everything to walk. I love baby pics from the back also, because that is one part of them you see and want to remember. I just made some of these too, so i love seeing yours. The black and white just does it justice, along with your angle and background... it rules.
    Very Nice!

    so precious....
What a sweet shot Chaos. Everything is really well composed in this. The bench and angle work superbly (imo).
I am sure our husbands wished we cooed over their bottoms like this :)
Baby tooshies are so cute, so perfect and so *SMELLY* :)

    Cheers!

Did you crop this down any? The only thing I could think of is maybe a little more room at the bottom, so the feet aren't cut into.

    Cute shot!

    ...
Thanks for the comments, so far!

Adina, no... I only cropped in the sides. Unfortunately the tiny sliver of foot is absent in the original. It bothers me too. But they move so dern quick! LOL!

We've JUST started potty training our 2.5 year old with the hopes he can be ready for a no-diaper preschool come Sept 1. Such pressure! Hopefully, we'll be able to eliminate the stink part!

What is it with baby-butts though? They all seem to have cottage cheese

*AHEM? * not sure how to take that one...

*Good Luck with that....!!!!! Don't push the little guy too hard though- even for preschool. Sometimes it backlashes down the road (speaking from experience...) Potty training can be fun (throw some cheerios in for "target practice"). Unfortunately, with boys, you never eliminate the stink part. And I've got three (boys).*

*Because women don't like cottage cheese on their own tooshies. But on baby butts, its just cute.*

    Again- Chaos, great shot!!!!!!!!!

We used m&m's as bribery on our first. Worked like a charm. With our second, she wanted nothing to do with the m&m's, we told her she couldn't start dance class until she went potty in the toilet. That did it.

With kids this small (or any kid for that matter) if you shoot a little back from what you actually want, and then go back and crop, I've found I have a higher sucess rate for including all body parts. The little bit of extra work cropping is worth the time, rather than wishing I'd included something, for me.

My sister has similar shots of each of her grandkids magnetted on her refrigerator. Now that the kids are gradeschool age I think it gives her some evil power over them. :D Kinda like "You do what I say or I'll show your friends the picture of your butt". I don't think its ever been said, but I know I wouldn't have wanted my grandma to have had a picture of my butt hanging in the kitchen.
