    An apple a day
Recently when I have uploaded here my pics have been darker than in adobe. Not sure why.

I have taken this for an "Education" theme.

Your thoughts are much appreciated. TIA

I love the detail in the apple. A little lighter (could be the posting like you said) to bring out more detail in the skin lower down maybe.

Well executed idea Alison. The apple is very tantalizing. I want to reach into the image and grab it and take the second bite. IMHO you DOF is right on any more and it would have distracted from the wonder apple any less and theme would not have been as easily recognized.

Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.

It's nice that my image makes you want to reach in and grab the apple to take a bite OT. That makes me feel so proud. Thank you so much!

Now, here are my own thoughts on it...
Jenny is wearing light colours therefore making the bg lighter than the foreground. I find this a little distracting.
Would using a fill flash, with a diffuser, help the apple be more dominant?

Thanks J-Dogg. It was very juicy. You can actually see just a little juice on the table there.

Let's see how this one looks. I lightened the apple with the dodge tool. Looks pretty good on hubbys monitor.

I think the coloring is just fine the way it is also. Any brighter and it would have lost the creative edge that leads the eye through the image. For example, the tinge/hint of blue finger nail polish on your student fits wonderfully.

I like the concept Alison and IMHO works well here...I would have liked to see more of the "bite" in the apple and the texture..

BTW,,the apple looks like a Granny Smith which were first developed and grown here in Australia only a good No1 wood golf shot from my home..
