    Anticipation of Seattle
Went to Seattle to see the dead sea scrolls last weekend. :D I love ferry rides. And this particular ride gave me an idea. I know that the shot isn't centered, but I did that on purpose. What do you guys think?

I would have tried to get some detail in the forground, but the situation that you took your shot in it would have been difficult. Neat view!

Too much negative space IMO. Nice concept, maybe some fill flash to show some of the interior.

    Two suggestions come to mind.

The use of negative space in this way might be strengthened by having the line of windows overlap both edges or neither one. As it stand they just end in an awkward way. As the eye transverses from L-to-R it doesn't rest or complete it travel, just wanders around.

The second suggestion would be to brighten the view through the windows to give the overall photo more range and thus more 'pop'.

This is a panorama, and as such, it needs to extend the viewers perception as far as it can while remaining truly representative of what you saw. It does not matter whether this was on a ferry (a neat location) or other row of windows, it still optimally requires completion.

Thanks for sharing and am interested about the 'dead sea scrolls' portion of your post. Is there a archaeological exhibit there currently?
