    Mustachea

Haha, I don't have a flash or strobes, so I took this in a bathroom with four extra lamps to get enough light. This was for an assignment to create an album cover for a band that we made up as a class. We also came up with the song names. It's supposed to be funny. Should I post the originals, or no? Oh, and it's pronounced Moo-stah-chay.

Without me getting involved in the concept of the album itself the pics are great. Love how the eyes look along with the slight DOF and shadow/light play achieved.

I agree with Blue Rob, the eyes are fantastic, the lighting is well done, and the DOF leads the viewers eyes to the main subject. Very nice.

Love them especially the second one.
Only distraction I see is a few too many catch lights in the first.

Yeah, that's the problem with having to use work lamps. Having to use more.

    Re: Mustachea

You did a great job on both! Love the eyes! My only little nitpick -- and I mean little -- is the blackness of the moustache is a just a bit harsh for me. Obviously you intend that to jump out at the viewer -- which being on a female face, it does! -- but I think I would like it even more if it were just a bit softer black.

My only picky nitpick about the second one is the shaving cream is not like I remember it used to be back in the day -- is that the real thing?

On another note - I really appreciated your critique of the Christmas reindeer photo.

I think it's a fantastic idea. If it was only the first without the second, I would not have cared for the image as much.

It's not real shaving cream, it's hand lotion. And I made the mustache out of black felt. Thanks! =]
