Ancient-looking castle in a mizzle

Don't know why, but this image looks to me like it was made many years ago with an old not a digital camera. It reminds me a picture made out of a very old film. Don't you think so?
I took this one in my town the same day I've posted it, BTW, "autolevels" were adjusted with photoshop, and I think exactly they gave the photo ancient tone.
The only thing I don't like in this one are that several quite huge snowflakes on the top of the view.
So, what are your views?
