    alternative portrait
I staked out the timing screen waiting for a shot like this.
One flash, but angled up a few degrees to give fall-off in the bottom of the image.
Also with the built-in reflector out.
It's a piddling little thing, but I think it helped with scattered light around waist height so it wasn't in deep shadow.

I got a few like this, but Emanuele's lean into the image made this one for me.
Is anyone troubled by the sleeve to the left edge of the image?
Is it worth trying to clone it out?

Very nice effect, the your flash strategy worked well.

The grey sleeve and the bright bits at his elbow are a bit distracting compared with the strong bg contrast on the other side. Pulls my eye away from the what's going on with the reflection in the monitor (which is pretty cool!)

Cool concept like the portrait. I wish the background was more blurred or almost the image turned into a "low Key" image. The people in the background are a big distraction for me.

Very unique. My eyes when straight to the Shell badge on the jacket, then the drivers face, and only then did I notice the reflection. Wow! Cool suprise.
I did not even notice the gray bit at the extreme left until you mentioned it.
I also like the background. It gives me a clue as to where you are.

I agree, but think a few quick swipes with the cloning brush would take care of everything. I would NOT crop it out. Aside from the small bits on the extreme left, this is a very powerful image, well thought out and executed. Brilliant idea with the flash.

Like everything about it,would clone out the sleeve.
For every standard shot of a celebrity, there are a very few that stand out for originality,
having an eye to a different view-this is one.
