    All dogs...
It`s one of my first photos with my new sony alpha camera. Since i`m an amateur i`d like to hear some comments and critiques on it... i`m not sure if it is any good, but it left a certain emotion on me.. It was taken in Moscow-s metro escalator. I found the scene interesting since the colours that the girl is wearing are rarely seen in moscow in this period of the year, and the dog.. she was helping the poor pup to get out of underground since he lost his owner...

    A memorable moment for me...

    Thanks!

Hi neba77 - Welcome to the photo critique board. I can see what you were getting at here. I have seen images from Moscow, and have not seen pastels either (I assume you live there, and would know better than I anyway).

I think that the capturing of the woman and her dog and the way you got the depth of the escalator is nice. Where I think it can be improved is to get the model(s) to face the camera more, for it's hard for a shot to be effective if they have their back to you. Sometimes it works when you want to capture an anonymous situation, but on the escalator, I think it's missing emotion (I do like how her boots are emphasized by the angle however...)

Sometimes when you have a subject it is best to get in close to it. So it might have worked better if you zoomed in.

Its sharpness could probably be better, but considering you were inside with little light, and things were happening quickly, it is not bad at all. But more sharpness and depth-of-field (DOF) would have made it stronger, I believe.

OK, enough for one shot. Good luck on your next one!
