    Cloud to Ground

We had a storm pass by the other evening and I was able to get this shot. I had my Sony F717 perched against my stomach looking for a strike. It took about 20 minutes and 10 misses to get this shot. Focus set to infinity, aperature f2.5, shutter speed 1/60. Please let me know what you think.

First off, let me applaude your courage and your ability to get some lightning. I'd have been hiding in my house. And from what I've read, storm shooting is pretty difficult, and time consuming.

That aside, when I first looked at this, I thought that was a scratch. Then I went back and read. I think for something like this to have a lot more impact, you would need more lightning. Either that, or a more dramatic sky.

I think this is where digital is a big plus. You can shoot quite a bit, and you'll know if you have something when you get it.

I'd love to see more if you try this again.
