I can feel the heat of the day through my monitor! Very warm, but the color seems accurate. Looks like about 95° that day.

I like how you stopped the biker in the air, and I like the shadow below him. What if you cropped him tightly?

    Too Funny Bobby..
While they are close to the jumper, they aren't as close as they seem. I'd say they are about 10 feet away.

    ...

I think it's an awesome shot too! I kind of agree though -- the guys on the side kind of distract me from the action.

    I can't tell what's going on

    Brian-
The color and light are great in this. And you definitely froze the rider. But I can't tell what's going on. It looks like a step-up but I can't see the landing and can't really figure it out. I think you need to explore this location more. I want to see it shot from an angle where I get a better feel for the move. I like the other riders watching - that's always cool. But in the end, it's about the actual jump and since I can't tell where he's going, I'm left feeling confused.

This is ok but I find there to be too much distracting elements here , especially all the tree and foliage in equal focus as everything else, especially the jumping rider. However, what I like about it and it keeps me interested is the other riders standing there as if to wait for him to clear the jump and cheering him on , in my eyes. I like that and makes this shot interesting for me and holds my attention. This dudes high in the air. . . did he come off the jump in the lower left corner of the frame. . . must have been up to good speed to catch that much air.

    Interesting Shot

    Hey MTB-
I like this shot- would actually have liked to see this a little closer up.
I Like the looks of his buds to the right.
However I also agree with Photo John on the landing issue. To me, it looks as if hes going to land in that foilage! ;)

I think some other variables would be to shoot from where his buddies were, or to shoot from below him. Again, just my two cents. I'm not well versed on action shots.

Other than that, great lighting and color, I love the vividness of it. Feels like summer.

    Cheers,
