Re: 593
I get the feel of scan lines from the all the horizontal lines, especially in the background.

Re: 593
Almost looks like a panning shot, I do not understand the cause of the horizontal lines in the background terrain
I would love to see with the detail and IQ T2i is capable of capturing which I feel the tonemapping and image mixing may be hindering
EDIT: just realized this is an old shot before you got the T2i

Re: 593
...2nd try.. I put in a detailed response and it vanished.. most likely my fault for clicking on the forum jump button instead of the post quick reply lol
i love the expanse of this. the hues are lovely, earthly. nice browns and subtle greens. i think however it needs a tiny bit of a punch. what i usually do to achieve that is just do an auto levels or auto curves. that results in most cases in a color shift also which i don't want, so i go in to 'fade' mode. by clicking apple shift F, or control shift F for pc users, i think. from the drop down menu if u choose soft color that will usuall bring the photo back to its original pallette of colors only with the added punch. now to adjust how much of that kick u want u just use the slider and your eyes. this is one of my favorite techniques in my daily color correcting routine :-)
this one is a fine image just needs a tiny bit of a kick, imo. having said that, it's a really nicely captured image.

Re: 593
I agree the composition and subject rocks, just a little something to make it pop. It does look like it has some noise in it. Try Scott Kelbys color correction technique, just google it. Takes less than minute.
