Would it be possible for you to post this a bit larger, so that it would be easier to see the details?
I will see what I can do seeing that I am a complete novice at this and the photography bussiness not evan mentioning sharing the foto's with whoever is interested.
I agree it would help to have a larger version but even without it I can say that you've framed the shot well, and suspect that whatever people might be in there, are far enough into the background as to not be distracting. The only thing I might suggest is to work the contrast a little bit using whatever camera software you have. The tonal range is a little flat. Otherwise, Nice shot.
PS - send me a PM if you need any advice on what software to get, etc. I'd be happy to help.
welcome piet.
i think i see what you were trying to capture, the symetry perhaps? and i like what you were trying to do. it deosnt work for me. just some of my thoughts.
Maybe something at the end of the dock might have captured my attention?
furher back with a wider lens and a lower perspective?
maybe not so symmetrical with the path leading you into the centre of the picture?
having a bit more detail with a complete yaught and sail pole?
increase the colour saturation?
Try the same picture at sunrise/sunset?
Should I have taken the photo without the people in it?
I think it is a very nice photo. Can't see any people. It is framed very nicely and I like the perspective the pier offers along with the masts. Very nice photo.
