Colors are great. The layered landscape effect is quite good too. It would be nice if the transitions could have a bit more contrast, but it is pretty hard to take shots like this and get that kind of contrast I think.

There is a haziness happening you are correct. It is probably due to all of the traffic and heat in Asheville happening just below the treetops that isn't visible from this perspective. I'm also a really big fan of soft light. :thumbsup:
