    Old Wooden boat...

....took this shot on the Chipola River in a very secluded area. Looked like the boat had been there for years.

    Re: Old Wooden boat...

For me (and I have different tastes), there's something off. I don't know if it's that the green dominates the grays of the boat, or maybe that there's just so much going on (the reflections, the ripples, the boat, the background, the color) that my eyes simply don't want to rest on the boat and even with knowing it's a boat, I'm having a hard time recognizing it as such. But that may just be me!

d's right...this has almost too much green. I'd think a little cropping off of the bottom third of the picture might help some.

Yup...I see what you are saying. Funny thing, when I took the picture it was on the way back. I passed the boat the first time and didn't realize it was a boat.

Forgive me for taking the liberty, but I tried cropping a bit and removing the green some and here's what I got. Cropping sucks but I think you can see how the removal of some of the green has brought the boat out a bit. Have you tried this in B&W?

Yeah, I like that better cropped and I think B&W would give it more of an aged look to match the boat. Thanks.
