my favorite is the rusty bolt. i might suggest cropping the top so the bolt ends up centered from top to bottom (not left to right) ... or at the very least, crop it so sky is not visible above the metal bar.

also, this one might be interesting as a b&w.

the texture of the metal as well as the texture of the wood give that shot an interesting dynamic. looking at this shot, i can almost smell the old wood and the rusting steel. and i couldn't have recommended a more perfect DOF.

I'm with D the bolt is my prefered shot, However I would suggest you crop at the top of the metal bar and take a little off the right to move the bolt closer to the line of the third's rule. This will emphasise the bolt even more. As D said DOF spot on.

The top photos, I feel that you cropped too much off the bottom of the shot when you composed it and doesn't give me any context for what I am looking at which makes it a 'so what photo'.

In the B&W conversion I think you need to boost the contrast a bit, especially for the clouds.

I like the new crop must better. Personnally I think the color one has more feeling to it. The rust gives it more of a feel of age.

    I like it a lot.
