    Selling photos of celebrities?

I have photos of several celebrities that I took. They have all been autographed, and I have several copies of each print. Someone has asked to purchase some of them.

Is it ok to sell them to private buyers? Also, does the autographs make a difference in my ability to profit from the images?

That is definitely a grey area. On the one hand, one could say that by autographing the prints there is implicit approval for use. On the other hand, the reverse is that the celebrity was assuming personal display only.

There are all kinds of traps here and I would be reluctant to risk the possible problems and consequences. Personal opinion only, but I do follow legal approaches and case law.

Thanks, Ronnoco. There's no need/reason to sell them other than someone desires them. The sentimental value far outweighs any chance of legal recourse, I'll keep them for the enjoyment of friends/family.
